Itinerary

Day 1- City tour in Santiago de Chile.

After your arrival at the airport we will pick you up and take you to your hotel in Santiago, later depending on your flight arrival you will visit the city center of Santiago de chile. visit the Plaza de Armas, buildings around, Cathedral of Santiago, municipality of Santiago, the post office, after you should visit the market of Santiago where you will enjoy their varied cuisine. After lunch we visit the Government Palace and its cultural center, Cerro Santa Lucia, where Pedro de Valdivia founded Santiago in 1541.

To the east of the city you will see modern buildings and the changes they have brought to the neighborhood, ending the tour at the craft store, where we will see pieces of lapis lazuli existing only in Chile and Afghanistan, after these activities we will take you back to your hotel.

Day 2- Tour to Valparaiso and Viña del Mar Valparaiso Chile

After breakfast at the hotel, we will depart at 8.30 am, to go to Viña del Mar the best Chilean resort. Garden City, we will be delighted with its special architecture, on the streets, the palaces and the Quinta Vergara where takes place the International Song Festival of viña del mar. We will have the opportunity to meet the original statue of a Moai brought from Easter Island. Visit the ocean bay and beaches. Lunch at a renowned restaurant with a beautiful ocean view. Then we will visit the city of Valparaiso, Chile’s main port, whose origins date back to 1536, the city has been declared a World Heritage Site and is the seat of the Legislature and Congress.

This city full of magic, picturesque elevators, colorful neighborhoods and unique and unforgettable scenery which you will enjoy with our guide who will accompany you throughout your journey. We end our tour with a panoramic view of the bay from the Hill after all Return to your hotel in Santiago at about 17:30 hours.

Day 3 – Flight from Santiago to Calama and Tour to the “Valley of the Moon” Valley of the moon.

After taking a good breakfast we will pick you up from your hotel and take you to Santiago airport for the flight to Santiago – Calama. pick up at Calama airport and private transfer to San Pedro de Atacama. Visit the town of San Pedro, church and the archaeological museum of Padre Le Paige.

Then continue tour of the Valley of the Moon, located approximately 10 Km. From San Pedro de Atacama, declared a nature sanctuary, it is part of the Los Flamencos National Reserve, located within the Cordillera de la Sal. A place with beautiful shapes and colors where you can walk and see a geological spectacle with sculptural forms, similar to the lunar surface. Visit the salt statues “Las Tres Marias,” Salt Caverns. Climb up the big dune at sunset to admire in all its splendor this beautiful panorama. Return to the town of San Pedro de Atacama.

Day 4- Tour to the Salar de Atacama and Highland Lakes.

High Plain Lagoons Chile- after breakfast at the hotel time to move to the Highland Lakes of Miñiques and Miscanti, located 138 km from San Pedro de Atacama and at an altitude of 4,300 meters. We take the road to Toconao, this goes straight across the plain overlooking the imposing Licancabur volcano, on the route you will see species of trees indigenous to the area such as mesquite and chañar, at km 38 arrival at Toconao, quick visit the main square and church, including houses built of volcanic stones (Liparita). Panoramic view of beautiful contrast that occurs between the green Jere Valley and the desert, we continue quick visit to the village farmer Socaire.

Then we ascend the Andes to reach the Lagunas Miscanti and Miñiques deep blue and white shores, located in the los Flamencos National Reserve, surrounded by towering mountains and volcanoes created a unique landscape in this region. Day 5- tour to calama and the impressive gaysers.

Geysers at 4:30 am Departure to the Geysers, the Geysers are located at a distance of 97 Km from San Pedro and at an altitude of 4,300 meters. Arriving at approximately 06:45, the temperature is below zero. Breakfast and walk led by the geothermal field, observing the impressive columns of steam (Geysers), fumaroles, then you will see hundreds of pools of boiling water, you will have an spectacular view from high peaks.

Then we moved to the thermal pools with water approx. 40co where passengers can take a refreshing bath. Then we begin the descent to the City of Calama, in route you will visit Caspana Town, located in a fertile valley that contrasts with its desert environment, altitude of 3,305 meters. Day 6 – Travel to San Pedro de Atacama to Hito Cajon and Tour to Uyuni.

After breakfast at the hotel you will be transferred from San Pedro to Hito Cajon. This is the border between Chile and Bolivia.

The road climbs a steady slope, formed by lava and ash. in route we stop to admire the beautiful panoramic view across the Salar de Atacama and the Oasis of San Pedro de Atacama, north Licancábur the majestic volcano seen 5.916 Mts. altitude, 8 km by gravel road we will find the Border Control Hito Cajon. On the day we will know the Laguna Blanca; Laguna Verde; Geysers Sol de Mañana and Laguna Colorada, a lake classified as “High Andean-Salina” presents borax islands in the northeast and southeast sectors, the color is red. Overnight near the Laguna Colorada (4200 meters above level of the sea.), if weather permits.

Day 7 – Tour to Los Lipez Desert.

The expedition will start and this time cross the desert Siloli also considered one of the driest deserts in the world.these group of mountains the Andean nature reserve it is next to the – national park Eduardo Abaroa (REA) exhibiting numerous curiosities, exotic natural formations and protected animal species. Of course the main place to visit nearby include Laguna Colorada and Laguna Verde, where we see large colonies of Andean flamingos and a variety of birds. Continuing the tour will visit the Morning Sun Geyser and rock formations of Stone Tree. In the afternoon we cross the Salar of Chiguana before reaching the hotel in the town of San Juan. Lunch on the way.

Day 8- Tour to the Salar de Uyuni and Uyuni bus trip to La Paz.

After breakfast at the Hotel, this time we are going to visit the Salar of Uyuni. There you will visit the island named “Lomo De Pescado” . and the giant candelabra cactus where we will have the opportunity to climb to the top of the island from where the view is really spectacular. Then we will see “the eyes of Salt” and salt extraction sites; finally we visit Colchani salt extraction is considered as a principal activity here, you will also see the procces of salt production. Then we drive to the town of Uyuni. In the evening we board a night bus that will take us to the city of La Paz, the trip takes 12 hours ( if not . take a flight from uyuni to la paz) to make it shorter journey.

Day 9 – City Tour in La Paz

Depending on your arrival city tour la paz will start, the crew will be waiting at the bus terminal, to take you to your hotel according to have some rest in the morning. In the afternoon we visit the city of La Paz returning to the typical artisan market, the colonial church of San Francisco, the famous witch doctor market and the Plaza Murillo where the Government Palace is, Cathedral and National Congress, then Calle Jaen where interesting museums are, followed by museum of Tiwanaku. It will continue with visits to residential areas Obrajes Calocoto and Florida. Finishing with a visit to the Magic Valley of the Moon. In the evening we enjoy a folklore show of typical dances colorful costumes. Night hotel in La Paz.

Day 10 – Tiahuanaco Tour and travel by bus to Copacabana

After breakfast in your hotel the bus will depart at schudeled time to Tiahuanaco. This is one of the most important archaeological sites in America located 45 minutes from La Paz, near Lake Titicaca. You will appreciate the monoliths, the famous Puerta del Sol ( sun gate) and the true monolith Bennett, recently returned from the city of La Paz, after nearly 70 years and now in the new archaeological museum.

Arriving at Tiahuanaco after a walk Akapana visit the pyramid, the Temple of Kalasasaya, La Puerta del Sol, monoliths Fraile and Ponce, the semi-subterranean temple with gargoyle heads. In its museum we appreciate their excellent ceramic work with famous Keros (ceremonial vessels), the huaco-portraits (three-dimensional portrait of a human face in a basin) as well as textiles and especially in architectural constructions, many of the which they have astronomical orientation. In the afternoon we will take the bus to Copacabana and spend the night in this city.

Day 11 – Tour to Copacabana and Isla del Sol.

After breakfast you will visit the Cathedral of Copacabana, the Shrine of the Black Virgin and the main square. A midday lunch, then make the tour to Isla del Sol, across the lake for about an hour and a half to reach the southern part of the Isla del Sol, ( sun island ) where you will visit the Archaeological remains of “Pillcokaina – Temple of the Inca” a religious center, then a short walk through the steps of Yumani, down to the fountain of youth, there you can cool off by taking a bit of holy water, it is believed that this source is the source of eternal youth, and also enjoy the beauty of that beautiful Incas garden. Night hotel in Copacabana.

Day 12 – Journey by bus from Copacabana to Puno.

Uros Puno after breakfast at the Hotel we will have the morning off to rest, walk around Copacabana and Lake Titicaca, enjoying the lifestyle of the locals and their customs. In the afternoon at 1.00 pm board the bus bound for the city of Puno, the road is decorated with a variety of picturesque villages and beautiful landscapes of the Peruvian Altiplano Boliviano, upon arrival in Puno our staff will be waiting to take you to your hotel.

Day 13 – “Tour to Lake Titicaca, Uros Island and Taquile”. Lake Titicaca Peru.

After having breakfast at the hotel we will go to the port of Puno (Lake Titicaca) where you will embarke on the boat and then visit the floating Uros Islands for a period of 45 minutes, appreciate the customs of this island and crafts. Then we continue our journey by boat to visit the Island Taquile of outstanding natural beauty, ethnic, cultural and archaeological, then also return by boat to Puerto de Puno, there you will be picked up and taken to your hotel hotel or if you wish we can leave in the middle Puno, and finally overnight at the selected hotel.

Day 14 – “Tourist Travel Puno to Cusco, visiting Raqchi”. Raqchi -Cusco.

After having a good breakfast, pick up from the hotel you will be taken to the bus company wich will take you on a journey that lasts 8 hours, we will have excursions and guided tours to the sights of the southern corridor of altiplano, reaching the Raya pass at 4.335 m and the museum of Pucara Incan Aymara, at noon in Sicuani included in the tour Buffet lunch. Then we continue our journey; visits lasts 8 hours and 40 minutes, visiting the Inca temple of Raqchi, the temple of Andahuaylillas or Sixtine Chapel of America, making our trips enjoyable. To reach the “Cusco” we will be waiting to take you to your hotel where you will spend the night.(optional flight from juliaca – cuzco. if so ,day free in cuzco ).

Day 15 – “City Tour in Cusco Plaza de Armas

After breakfast at the hotel, you will have the morning free to wander and shop for handicrafts and souvenirs of Cusco on your own. After lunch at 1:30 pm will begin the guided tour which includes visiting the center of the ancient city of Cusco, Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral, the Monastery of Santo Domingo, Temple of Koricancha and the nearby ruins of Kenko, Pukapukara, Tambomachay and the fortress of Sacsayhuaman, built with huge rocks that so far remains an enigma and use of these, being no stone quarries in the area.

Day 16 – “Tour to the Sacred Valley”.

The Sacred Valley tour will start at 8:30 am, gathering of the hotel to go to Pisac, which is a typical market, with picturesque cultivated terraces on the mountain. Visit the archaeological site of Pisac. It is also famous for its fairs where you can buy beautiful handicrafts. Then we head to Urubamba where we will have lunch. Then we go to the fortress of Ollantaytambo, after visiting ollantaytambo inka site you will have a short train jorney to aguas calientes where you will spend the night.

Day 17 – “Tour to Machu Picchu: The Lost City of the Incas”.

Very early in the morning after take a good breakfast you will have to take a bus up to machupicchu inka site your guide will be there waiting for you to guide through all the principal ad important sites after 3 hours of guided tour you will need to climb up to wayna picchu mountain from where you will have a beautiful panoramic view. after this you have free time to take photos and wander around, get back to the bus station up in machupicchu wich will take you back to aguas calientes from here depending on your train departure you will get back to cuzco to train station we will pick you up and drive you hotel from the train station in poroy (Cusco) hotel in cuzco.

Day 18- Free day in cuzco

Today you have all day to visit other places that you have not visited yet.

Day 19 – “City Tour in Lima with visits the Huaca Pucllana”.

After having breakfast, we’ll drive to the airport in Cusco. We will take the plane to take us an hour to Lima, when we arrived to the city of Lima our staff will be waiting with the respective transfer to the hotel. After a break we make the Tour; visit the most interesting places of the “City of Kings”: the Cathedral, Pizarro’s Tomb, the Catacombs of San Francisco, through Congress, the Torre Tagle Palace. Then visit Orrantia residential areas, San Isidro, Miraflores you will visit the Huaca Pucllana. Barranco, where you will enjoy a spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean. Then visit the Rafael Larco Herrera Museum, where you’ll find a lot of pre-Inca pottery including the world’s largest collection of erotic figures. Overnight at hotel in Lima.

Day 20 – “Transfer to Lima Airport and Farewell.”

Today we will transfer you from hotel to airport Jorge Chavez in Callao. We should be two hours before the time of your international flight, if you wish there are always routes where you can finish your tour in peru.
