Huaraz Trekking Santa Cruz

  • Day 1: Huaraz – Caraz – Cashapampa – Llamacorral (9 km walk)

Itinerary

4 Days Huaraz Trekking Santa Cruz

We travel the heights with this Santa Cruz trekking of 4 days, with which we will pass through several places in the mountain range that will show us the diversity of the landscape over 2000 m of height.

Day 1: Huaraz – Caraz – Cashapampa – Llamacorral (9 km walk)

We will leave Huaraz in the north.
On the way we will visit the city of Caraz, at an altitude of 2100 m.
Also, we will pass through Cashapampa, at an altitude of 2900m, from where we will begin the trek.
The trek will last 4 hours, in which we will see the vegetation of the place until we reach Campamento Llamacorral, 3760 m high.

Day 2: Llamacorral – Laguna Arhuaycocha – Taullipampa (12 km walk)

Breakfast.
After ordering the camp, we will begin the journey of the day.
7 hours of trekking await us, passing through the lagoons of Hatuncocha and Arhuaycocha, at an altitude of 4450 m.
We will also pass through the base camp of Alpamayo, and then go to Camp Taullipampa.

Day 3: Taullipampa – Paso Punta Union – Cachinapampa (12 km walk)

Breakfast.
We will start a hike to the highest point of the trekking: Punta Union, at 4750 m.
From this place and along the route we can see much of the mountains that make up the mountains, such as Santa Cruz, Taulliraju, Artesonraju and Pucahircas.
After 4 hours we will arrive at Camp Cachinapampa, 3700 m high, to rest and spend the last night.

Day 4: Cachinapampa – Vaquería – Huaraz (9 km walk)

Breakfast.
We begin the walk to the town of Huaripampa.
From this place we will go up to Vaquería, 3700 m high.
We will take a bus that will pass through the Llanganuco Valley and the Chinancocha and Orconcocha lagoons, before reaching Huaraz and finish the activity at 3:00 p.m.
