After a brief explanation of the tour and accommodating the luggage, we will head for the Inter Oceanic Highway, where we will see small villages and farms with livestock of tropical breeds. Afterwards, we will take a shortcut in direction to Venado Station. The shortcut is a narrow dirt road that initially runs through plantations of local species, as we get away from the highway and into the deep jungle; human presence gradually reduces until we reach the Venado Station. There we will have lunch. Afterwards, we will start our trekking of 4 kms through primary forest until we reach Wasai Tambopata Lodge.

Reception and accommodation in the lodge. After a short rest, we will have a night tour through the forest to observe and hear the insects, bats, frogs, and maybe have an occasional encounter with some nocturnal mammal. Dinner. The various sounds of the jungle will accompany you through your first night in the Amazon. Overnight at Wasai Tambopata Lodge. (BL, D)

Breakfast will take place between 7:00 to 9:00 am, and then we will start a short boat trip for about 30 minutes upstream the Tambopata River to enjoy the view and get to the starting point of our Kayak adventure in the sector known as The Gold Island. After a brief training on kayaking, you will make your way back to the lodge downstream with the guide paddling next to you. There will be also a motorized boat for any assistance.
